Hello Friends of the Electron Workshop!  Things have been heating up at Electron Workshop this winter: FAO’s Tour de France film night was a big hit, drawing in Melbourne’s fixed gear community for a night of beer & TdF news. We were pleased to welcome Melbourne’s Monthly Maths and Science Meetup last month, and next week we will take part in Startup Week, offering free passes for the week to aspiring entrepreneurs. Lots on the agenda for September, including a very special program from Valhalla Social Cinema, not to mention International Coworking Day THIS Friday! Read on for more info.

FOA Film Night (fixed.org.au) – Le Tour de France: Last month’s Tour de Film night was VIBING.  The workshop was packed with Tour de France fans watching the event’s insane climb up Alpe D’Huez. Coffee Peddlr and Beatbox Kitchen were in the house serving up deliciousness.  Check out Rolly’s awesome recap of the event.

RHoK: Following on from all the great work that’s been happening at the last Random Hacks of Kindness (RHoK) Melbourne events, RHoK scheduled last month’s meet-up to keep the momentum going and catch up with other RHoKstars to see what they’ve been up to: Hacking for humanity. Learn more about RHoK here.

The Melbourne Maths and Science Meetup: We had our very first at Electron Workshop! You may be a researcher and feel like telling other people about what you do, or you may be a computer scientist and want to share some cool programming techniques or computational approaches; so if you’re interested, you’re invited to share your Einstein wisdom in events to come. Check out the action.
